Original AURORA Tuff Ones New-Old-Stock (NOS) ThunderJet 500 chassis. Tuff Ones were introduced in December of 1969 as being ‘Track-tested at 760 Scale MPH’. Tuff Ones T-Jet 500’s feature a speedwound GREEN wire RED lam-tip armature; silver plated chassis assembly electricals and pickup shoes with high silver content ‘speed’ brushes for improved conductivity; super energized radially oriented magnets for more speed with less heat; 14-tooth drive pinion gear with shortened crown gear to produce a good mix of top speed and low end torque.
True NOS T-Jet chassis are becoming scarce. These Tuff Ones T-Jet chassis are original AURORA New-Old-Stock out of master cases of 80 and not used. Complete rolling chassis assembly with independent front mag style wheels and wide rear slicks on mag style wheels. Compatible with all HO slot car track. Fits under original Aurora T-Jet bodies, Johnny Lightning ThunderJet 500 Pull-Back car bodies, Johnny Lightning Tuff Ones slot car bodies, and MoDEL MoToRING slot car bodies. Guide pin and body screws not included.
