AURORA New Old Stock (NOS) pick up shoes are weighted to increase pressure between pickups and track. Once the power has been transferred from the track to the pickups, it must pass to the brush tensioning springs via the hinge joint. To eliminate possible resistance in the hinge, ‘Tiger Tail’ wire shunts are soldered to the pickups. Simply solder the ‘Tiger Tail’ to the brush tensioner spring. This neat Hop Up trick provides direct current with less hinge resistance.
